Over Zero Website Redesign - Request for Proposals

Location: United States (remote)

Project Overview: Over Zero is excited to begin the process of updating our website to represent the current focus of our organization and work. We are looking for a website that is modern, human-centered, secure, and accessible. We are also hoping to update the design of many of our shorter public-facing resources through this process.  
 

Scope of Work: We anticipate this being a six month project requiring 10-20 hours per week; however this is open for discussion/re-evaluation with the selected vendor. 

  • Redesign the Over Zero website using either Squarespace or Framer (our current platforms); or shifting our web presence to a different, easily adaptable platform
    • A key feature of this website will be a searchable, filterable hub of Over Zero resources
  • Redesign select documents and presentations to match the look and feel of the website and enhance readability in a way that is modern yet consistent with Over Zero’s current branding
  • Provide thought partnership on website strategy and execution, including the integration of partner and staff feedback 
  • Conduct website QA and testing  
  • Manage sub-contractors (ex. photographer, developer, graphic designer) as needed 
  • Onboard the Over Zero team to ongoing website management and updates
 

Proposed Timeline:

  • January
    • Review of existing assets, resources, design system, work to date
    • Start participating in strategy/planning meetings
  • February 
    • Wireframing, design explorations
    • Finalize design direction with OZ team 
  • March-April
    • Redesign website and resources
    • Integrate feedback from partners and OZ team   
  • May
    • QA and testing 
    • Support site launch 
  • June
    • Additional site enhancements (as needed)
    • Onboard OZ team to website management
 

Submission Requirements: 

  • Narrative proposal + proposed minimum and reach budget
  • 2-3 work samples 
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
 

Budget: $50,000 - $80,000 USD


About Over Zero: Over Zero, a project of the Hopewell Fund, was founded to reduce, prevent, and create long-term societal resilience to political and identity-based violence and other forms of group-targeted harm. We focus on the role of communication in either fueling or counteracting this type of violence and we equip leaders from diverse sectors with tools for violence prevention and response. We collaborate with a wide range of academics, researchers, and practitioners globally. We are deeply committed to our organizational culture, which includes values of co-creation, discovery, do no harm, impact, and wholeness.

The contract will be between Hopewell Fund, a 501(c)(3) public charity, on behalf of its project Over Zero, and the selected contractor. This is not intended to be an offer of employment and the contract will be subject to approval by Hopewell Fund.
